Q- Can I use particle board as a base underneath the granite tile?

A- We recommned that you use an “>exterior grade 3/4″ plywood fastened to the cabinets as your base.  Particle board could be used as long as the granite tile is assembled using the Quarazon® Panel System and there are no penetrations in the counter.   Make sure the back edge against the wall is sealed with silicone.
